Prize Draw Terms and Conditions 

1. The promoter of this prize draw is Carnoustie Golf Links Properties Limited, a company registered in Scotland under company number SC718132 and having its registered office at Whitehall House, 33 Yeaman Shore, Dundee, DD14BJ (“Carnoustie Golf Hotel and Spa“, “us”, “we”). 
2. This prize draw is open to all residents of Great Britain aged 18 years or over, except employees of Carnoustie Golf Hotel and Spa, their families, agents or any third party directly associated with administration of the prize draw.
3. Upon liking and sharing the Facebook post or following and liking on Instagram you will be automatically entered into the prize draw. The entry is open between 00.01am (GMT) on Monday 4th August and 11.59pm (GMT) on Saturday 30th November 2025.
4.  Entering the Ultimate Escape Experience Prize Draw requires participants to; 
   a. Tag a friend in the comments on the original competition post on Facebook and follow Carnoustie Golf Hotel and Spa on Facebook; or
   b. Tag a friend in the comments on the original competition post on Instagram and follow Carnoustie Golf Hotel and Spa on Instagram 
5. Entries must be made by publicly viewable profiles for verification purposes.
   
6. There is a limit of one entry to the prize draw per person.
7. The Carnoustie Golf Hotel and Spa accepts no responsibility for any entry which cannot be completed for any reason, including technical interruption, fault or site failure. Incomplete entries will not be considered a valid entry into the prize draw.
8. Entries that contain offensive of inappropriate content will be hidden and the entry disqualified.
9. One winner will be chosen by random draw supervised by an independent person on Wednesday 3rd December 2025 (“Draw Date“). 
10. The following prize will be drawn:
    
    • 2 night accommodation for two people 
    • Breakfast and dinner included on both days (selected menus) 
    • Champagne in room on arrival (non-alcoholic alternative available)  
    • Access to spa and leisure facilities 
    • Treatment in spa for both guests (up to £100 each) 
    • Optional round of golf on The Carnoustie Burnside Course 
    • Surprise goodie bag in room
      
11. Prize must be redeemed between 1st January 2026 and 31st December 2026. All prizes are subject to availability
12. The winner will be notified by Social Media comment or private message within 7 days of the Draw Date. If the winner does not respond to Carnoustie Golf Hotel and Spa within 14 days of being notified by us, then their prize will be forfeited and we will be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above.
13. The prize for the winner is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered.
14. The decision of Carnoustie Golf Hotel and Spa regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
15. By entering the prize draw, each entrant agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions. Carnoustie Golf Hotel and Spa reserves the right to refuse entry, or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
16. Carnoustie Golf Hotel and Spa reserves the right to replace any prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond Carnoustie Golf Hotel and Spa’s control makes it necessary to do so.
17. Carnoustie Golf Hotel and Spa reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the prize draw where it becomes necessary to do so. Carnoustie Golf Hotel and Spa reserves the right to withdraw any prize if it has reason to believe that any winner has breached these terms and conditions.
18. Carnoustie Golf Hotel and Spa reserves the right to terminate or cancel the prize draw for any reason.
19. Carnoustie Golf Hotel and Spa makes no representation or warranty regarding the quality of the competition prizes and any conditions, warranties, or other terms implied by statute or common law are hereby excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law.
20. Insofar as is permitted by law, Carnoustie Golf Hotel and Spa, its group companies, its agents or distributors, or any third party directly associated with administration of the prize draw, will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize, except where it is caused by a breach of statutory duty of Carnoustie Golf Hotel and Spa, its group companies, its agents or distributors, or any third party directly associated with administration of the prize draw, or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
21. This prize draw is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook or Instagram. Entrants are providing information to Carnoustie Golf Hotel and Spa and not to Facebook or Instagram. Entrants release Facebook and Instagram for all claims and liabilities arising in respect of the prize draw.
22. By entering, participants agree to allow Carnoustie Golf Hotel and Spa to use their name, photograph and likeness for promotional purposes related to the competition.
23. Carnoustie Golf Hotel and Spa will use the personal information that you provide when you enter the prize draw to administer the competition including to contact you if you have won and to provide the prize. The legal basis for processing your personal information in this way is that it is necessary for the legitimate interests of Carnoustie Golf Hotel and Spa to provide benefits to its customers, to build and strengthen its customer relationships, to promote its products and to comply with best practices for running prize competitions. 24. Carnoustie Golf Hotel and Spa may make available the winners’ first name, surname and/or county to members of the public or regulators who request such details within 3 months after the Draw Date.
25. Carnoustie Golf Links reserves the right to make minor changes to these terms and conditions if necessary without notifying participants of the changes.
26. This prize draw and these terms and conditions will be governed by the laws of Scotland and any and all questions or disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
